Service Description
The Year 4 Guided Writing Service is specially designed to build confidence and lay the foundations of higher concepts of writing. With the Grammar School and Eleven Plus Exams getting tougher every year, we hope this will give them the head start required to achieve success. Language takes time to improve and there certainly isn’t any magic button that can be pushed to make a child a better writer, it is a journey. However, practice and constructive feedback will definitely speed up that journey for your child. Our evaluation and feedback will not just mark the mistakes but also tell your child where and how they could have improved. So for example, we won’t just say add similes or improve punctuation. We will tell them where, how and what similes could have been added; where, how and what punctuation could have been used. This is what your child needs to improve and this is what we promise to do.
Each genre and subgenre comes with a comprehensive guidance which will tell your child everything they need to know about writing an assignment in that particular genre. Every week one assignment along with specific guidance on how to complete will be emailed to you. Upon receipt of the completed assignment, a personalised feedback and grading are provided.
